Rustling Leaves Resort: A Future Dream?
(Not yet open, sorry!)

First off, we would like to thank all of you who have offered us moral support and expressed interest in our project. Setbacks, mostly of a temporal nature, have slowed the progress to a crawl. However, the dream of Rustling Leaves Resort, a motorcycles-friendly resort, is still alive. It is, however, going to have to wait until I retire.

In the meantime, my wife and I have opened a small restaurant in Downtown Buena Vista, VA. It's called Franks for the Memories on Magnolia Avenue. Check it out!

The resort, when we put it together, will be located on our 90 acres of wooded land in the Great Valley of Virginia, just west of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Buena Vista, Virginia. Overlooking the Maury River, the resort will someday offer the tourer, sport-tourer, dual-sporter, and sport-biking enthusiast a luxurious destination or a comfortable way-station in the Central Western Virginia Region.
Bennett's Run (a mountain stream) edges the property, providing a soothing audio backdrop for your stay, while the nearby river offers opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Located on River Road, State Route 663 (a "Virginia By-Way", and listed in AAA's "Scenic Roads" publication) along the old C&O Canal, and next to the George Washington National Forest, it's proximity to Buena Vista, Lexington, Staunton, and Natural Bridge and their attractions ensures that a guest won't lack for entertainment. But, why not ride? We're just down the hill from the Blue Ridge Parkway, (either by US Rt. 60 or VA Rt. 130,) near M.P. 60 (Otter Creek), and the roads for miles around promise great rides.
A few comfortable cabins should be offered first. More cabins, a lodge, an events pavillion, a central service facility, and a restaurant to be added as time and resources permit.
